telconsulting successfully delivers Spectrum Finance Training to ITU-R in Geneva

Building on their recent successfully delivered training courses, telcoconsulting was invited by the Director of the ITU-R Radio Communication Bureau to provide an intensive training course on “Spectrum Finance” at their global headquarters in Geneva in October 2016.

Training topics included “financial impact of spectrum policy/licensing, “valuation methods relating to Spectrum including a mobile licence case study” and “Future financial challenges such as ‘sharing’ and 5G development”.

The ITU-R executives had diverse international backgrounds and feedback included:
– “Comprehensive explanation on the importance of spectrum as an ‘Intangible asset’”
– “The trainers had very good interactions with the participants”
– 83% of participants rated “knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm of the presenters (Anna Coast and Bob Franklin)” as “Excellent”.

Anna Coast said “We thank the Director and his team for the opportunity to work with them to meet the challenge of raising awareness of the financial implications of spectrum policy management. This training course offers operators and regulations a practical approach to understand the wider business risks and new opportunities of Spectrum Finance.”
